12.26.16 It All Started with a Smile

Over the holidays, I had the honor of photographing one of my best friend’s engagement photos in our home town of Skaneateles, NY. We squeezed them in Christmas Eve, and even had time to grab a drink at the pub (shout out to Mr. Gregg for buying me a round!) I love being in my home town during the holidays. Not only is it beautiful, but the sense of community is undeniable. I feel very fortunate to have grown up amongst so many genuinely caring people.  It’s great to come back and still feel the love.

Lauren, Tim and I had fun as we walked around down town and took some photos.

Lauren and Tim crossed floss in Buffalo NY,  while attending The University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine.  They were in separate class years, but got to know each other through their participation in ASDA, the American Student Dental Association.  Friendship led to love, and they both ended up going to orthodontic school in Rochester.

One thing you have to be keen on if you are becoming Lauren’s mate is being down with the fam!  The Vitkus clan is solid and Lauren always puts family first, whether its attending her youngest sisters’ college LAX games, or making the drive back to Skan for her family’s weekly Sunday night dinner.  Fortunately, Tim is on the board, and they are happy to have him.

Tim is from the Rochester area, and is the perfect match for Lauren. He is easy going, affable, and kind.  Tim pulled an all-star move by proposing to Lauren in front of the Trevi Fountain on their vacation to Rome.

Lauren and Tim root for the Bills!

Christmas Eve Brews (Go Bills!)

Their wedding is scheduled for summer 2018. Congrats guys:) I’m so happy for you! img_0996
